We have been going over to Europe for buying trips for some time now. My parents live in France so I have been buying at Vide Grenier's in the South of France for years but Harriet and I tend to buy in the North East of France and Belgium. 

Jacob needed a lift to Paris so we had to curb our singing a little. Shame.

 Ok so this trip might have started off as more of a holiday than a working trip but we got to the buying don't worry! You cant come to Paris and not eat crepes and drink wine by the river. Its the law!....

.....And you cant go to the Ile De Re and not eat the most delicious seafood.

I'm always taking photos of shutters and door numbers. Its an obsession.

We do get down to the buying eventually though. Here is me at the Braderie de Lille. Its one of the craziest markets we have ever been to. Its absolutely huge and you cant take your vehicle into the town so there is lots of carrying to be done. Very sore arms by the end. Its is an experience though and should be done. Maybe not more than once in a life time though...

We love buying in Belgium. It is full of brilliant regular markets.
