As the year rolls on and the colours of Autumn and Winter emerge, we look forward to many seasonal treats; pumpkins and squashes, rust coloured foliage, fresh walks and cosy nights....but perhaps the thing we most look forward to at the time of year is the arrival of our exclusive Closet & Botts Fair Isle knitwear collection.

Fair Isle Knitwear Collection / Autumn Winter 21

Designed by and exclusive to Closet & Botts...We have been designing our Fair Isle collection for a number of years, and the popularity of this seasonal collection just grows and grows. Sold exclusively in our store in Lewes and now here online. Both our team and our customers always look forward to the arrival of the collection, with a sense of anticipation and excitement to see the new colours, touch the fabrics and try out the shapes.

Made in Scotland...The collection is made by family run knitting mills who have over a 150 years of expertise in producing traditional quality Scottish knitwear, crafted by generations of makers. We are so proud of our long standing partnership with this mill allowing us to bring to you the very best in timeless classic knitwear.

Traditional Fair Isle patterns...Our collection celebrates traditional knitwear patterns which originate from the Fair Isle, a tiny island in the Shetland Islands found in the far north of Scotland.

Pure New Wool...Every piece in the Fair Isle collection is created from premium quality Pure New Wool - a 100% lambswool yarn, ensuring every glove, hat and jumper is super soft, warm and hardwearing. Designed for long lasting cosiness, our knitwear is easily cared for by hand washing or using a suitable wool cycle machine wash.

Womens Fair Isle Jumpers

Each season we offer our best selling long sleeve crew neck shape in fresh seasonal colourways. This season we selected rich, sumptuous earth colours of Olive, Sienna, Navy and Mustard.

Both the Navy and Sienna jumpers have beautiful contrasting colours on the traditional yoke design, whilst the Mustard and Olive jumpers have a simplified cream colour contrast.

Fair Isle Berets

Our berets are made with the same traditional methods handed down by centuries of Scottish knitwear makers. With a Fair Isle pattern created in a circular shape, and solid ribbed edge, these berets can be styled in a number of ways.

This season our berets are available in a choice of 3 different colourways Teal, Sage & Navy.

Fair Isle Gloves

Completing our knitwear collection is the essential Closet & Botts Fair Isle gloves. Always a popular choice for gifting or simply for treating yourself, our gloves feature our seasonal colour ways so have the option to pair with our berets to create the ultimate cosy accessory set.

This year, we have designed our beautiful colours to weave the Fair Isle pattern across the middle of the glove and thumb whilst the fingers and cuff are a solid colour giving a contemporary twist to this season design.
