Laura Knight (1877–1970) was one of Britain’s most prominent 20th-century artists and the first woman elected to full membership of the Royal Academy since its founding. Known for her vibrant use of colour and dynamic compositions, Knight captured a wide range of subjects, from ballet dancers and circus performers to the landscapes of Cornwall and scenes from everyday life.
